Eneffet, en cas de mauvaise \u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019air, l\u2019air circule intempestivement dans l\u2019enveloppe du b\u00e2timent.<br \/>\nCeci peut entra\u00eener le transport de substances ou d\u2019\u00e9nergie \u2013 on parle alors de convection. De plus, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 0,8 litre d\u2019humidit\u00e9 peut p\u00e9n\u00e9trer dans le b\u00e2timent en l\u2019espace d\u2018une journ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Des \u00e9tudes scientifiques ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 qu\u2019en cas de fortes travers\u00e9es d\u2019air (r\u00e9sultant donc de fuites), la performance d\u2019isolation thermique peut \u00eatre r\u00e9duite jusqu\u2019\u00e0 20 %.<br \/>\nEn plus de la chaleur, l\u2019eau, pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur sous la forme de vapeur d\u2018eau dans l\u2018air, peut \u00e9galement p\u00e9n\u00e9trer dans les parois par des fuites dans l\u2019\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019air. La temp\u00e9rature y baisse en hiver, ce qui entra\u00eene un risque de condensation, et par cons\u00e9quent des dommages cons\u00e9cutifs tels que des moisissures.<br \/>\nDe plus des odeurs et des substances nocives peuvent \u00e9videmment se r\u00e9pandre \u2013<br \/>\net qui veut sentir ce que le voisin cuisine ?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Les courants d\u2019air nuisent \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 et au confort<\/strong><br \/>\nLe confort est un aspect souvent sousestim\u00e9. Les flux d\u2019air peuvent entra\u00eener des courants d\u2019air d\u00e9sagr\u00e9ables, par exemple \u00e0 partir du m\u00e9canisme des toilettes, s\u2018il est install\u00e9 dans une cloison s\u00e8che devant un mur non enduit.<br \/>\nL\u2019afflux d\u2019air ext\u00e9rieur froid en hiver r\u00e9duit \u00e9galement l\u2018humidit\u00e9 relative int\u00e9rieure<br \/>\nlorsque l\u2018air se r\u00e9chauff e \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur. Il est trop tard pour prendre l\u2019\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019air en compte lorsque le chantier a commenc\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019air est r\u00e8glementaire Diff\u00e9rents textes r\u00e9glementaires comme la version actuelle de la r\u00e9glementation thermique RT 2012 ou encore \u2013 plus sp\u00e9cifiquement pour la construction bois \u2013 le DTU 31.2 recommandent le traitement de la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019air des b\u00e2timents. Une d\u00e9marche de certification de la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019air de l\u2019enveloppe incluant un test d\u2019infiltrom\u00e9trie a pour objectif de rendre les b\u00e2timents moins gourmands en \u00e9nergie. Cela impose des nouveaux d\u00e9fis pour tous les professionnels engag\u00e9s dans la construction : Les bureaux d\u2019\u00e9tude et architectes doivent fournir des services de descriptifs appropri\u00e9s, que les entreprises devront ensuite r\u00e9aliser scrupuleusement. La construction \u00e9tanche \u00e0 l\u2019air est donc obligatoire !
