Quelle est sa nature et quelle en est la source ? Elle peut provenir des mat\u00e9riaux de construction ou de l\u2019environnement int\u00e9rieur et ext\u00e9rieur de la paroi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne de diffusion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La nature tend en permanence \u00e0 un \u00e9tat d\u2019\u00e9quilibre. Ainsi, lorsque deux environnements ont des taux d\u2019humidit\u00e9 diff\u00e9rents, l\u2019humidit\u00e9 sous forme de vapeur d\u2019eau va se d\u00e9placer\u00a0: <strong>c\u2019est le principe de diffusion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le gradient de pression partielle de vapeur d&rsquo;eau d\u00e9termine la direction du flux de diffusion. Par ailleurs, cette pression partielle de vapeur d&rsquo;eau d\u00e9pend de la temp\u00e9rature et de l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;air \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur et \u00e0 l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur. Une grande diff\u00e9rence de pression partielle, agit comme une \u00ab\u00a0<strong>force motrice<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb pour l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9.  De m\u00eame, le gradient de temp\u00e9rature implique des transferts de chaleur par conduction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que<strong> la diffusion se fait du chaud vers le froid<\/strong>;<strong> elle s&rsquo;effectue de l\u2019int\u00e9rieur vers l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur en hiver et de l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur vers l\u2019int\u00e9rieur en \u00e9t\u00e9 (c\u2019est l\u2019inversion des flux ou diffusion inverse).<\/strong> Une mauvaise ma\u00eetrise des transferts hygrothermiques peut instaurer des conditions d\u00e9favorables, et impliquer des d\u00e9gradations des composants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le potentiel de s\u00e9chage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Lorsque la charge d\u2019humidit\u00e9 \u00e0 laquelle la paroi est soumise d\u00e9passe sa capacit\u00e9 naturelle de s\u00e9chage, l\u2019humidit\u00e9 s\u2019accumule progressivement dans les mat\u00e9riaux. Cette accumulation augmente significativement le risque de d\u00e9sordres dans le b\u00e2timent, tels que le d\u00e9veloppement de moisissures, la d\u00e9gradation des isolants, la corrosion des \u00e9l\u00e9ments m\u00e9talliques ou encore l\u2019apparition de fissures et d\u2019efflorescences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ainsi la formule de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 permet de pr\u00e9venir les d\u00e9g\u00e2ts du b\u00e2timent<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/potentiel.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"870\" height=\"250\" data-size=\"870x250\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/potentiel.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1129\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/potentiel.png 870w, https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/potentiel-300x86.png 300w, https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/potentiel-768x221.png 768w, https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/potentiel-384x110.png 384w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 870px) 100vw, 870px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le principe d&rsquo;Hygrovariabilit\u00e9<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La quantit\u00e9 d\u2019humidit\u00e9 qui p\u00e9n\u00e8tre dans la construction d\u00e9pend de la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la diffusion de vapeur d\u2019eau (valeur Sd) des mat\u00e9riaux. La valeur Sd est \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 une \u00e9paisseur de couche d&rsquo;air immobile, exprim\u00e9e en m\u00e8tres. Une valeur Sd de 1 m\u00e8tre signifie que le mat\u00e9riau oppose la m\u00eame r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la vapeur d&rsquo;eau qu&rsquo;1 m\u00e8tre d&rsquo;air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Un Sd faible indique un mat\u00e9riau tr\u00e8s perm\u00e9able \u00e0 la vapeur.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Un Sd \u00e9lev\u00e9 indique un mat\u00e9riau tr\u00e8s r\u00e9sistant \u00e0 la diffusion.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Traditionnellement, une membrane \u00e0 Sd \u00e9lev\u00e9 pos\u00e9 c\u00f4t\u00e9 int\u00e9rieur emp\u00eache la vapeur d\u2019eau de p\u00e9n\u00e9trer dans la paroi et limite les risques li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019humidit\u00e9. Cependant, en cas d\u2019entr\u00e9e d\u2019humidit\u00e9 par convection (d\u00e9fauts d\u2019\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9), par diffusion lat\u00e9rale ou dans le cas de mat\u00e9riaux initialement trop humides, le s\u00e9chage vers l\u2019int\u00e9rieur devient impossible en \u00e9t\u00e9. Non seulement, cela cr\u00e9e des <strong>pi\u00e8ges \u00e0 humidit\u00e9<\/strong>, mais \u00e9galement la d\u00e9gradation d&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e9ments adjacents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec la mise en \u0153uvre d\u2019un frein-vapeur ouvert \u00e0 la diffusion (Sd faible), l\u2019humidit\u00e9 \u00e9ventuellement pr\u00e9sente dans la construction peut s\u2019\u00e9vaporer et s\u00e9cher vers l\u2019int\u00e9rieur. N\u00e9anmoins, en p\u00e9riode hivernale, ce frein-vapeur permettrait \u00e0 l\u2019humidit\u00e9 de p\u00e9n\u00e9trer au sein de la construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La solution optimale r\u00e9side dans l\u2019usage d\u2019un <strong>frein-vapeur \u00e0 Sd hygrovariable<\/strong>, capable d\u2019ajuster automatiquement sa r\u00e9sistance selon l\u2019humidit\u00e9 ambiante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>En hiver, son Sd augmente, assurant une forte protection contre la diffusion de vapeur d\u2019eau depuis l\u2019int\u00e9rieur.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>En \u00e9t\u00e9, son Sd diminue, permettant \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ventuelle humidit\u00e9 contenue dans la paroi de s\u00e9cher vers l\u2019int\u00e9rieur.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Par ailleurs, ce type de frein-vapeur \u00ab intelligent \u00bb a largement d\u00e9montr\u00e9 son efficacit\u00e9 depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es. <strong>En combinant s\u00e9curit\u00e9 hivernale et capacit\u00e9 de s\u00e9chage estivale la p\u00e9rennit\u00e9 de la paroi est assur\u00e9e.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/sechage.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1020\" height=\"730\" data-size=\"1020x730\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/sechage.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1124\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/sechage.png 1020w, https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/sechage-300x215.png 300w, https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/sechage-768x550.png 768w, https:\/\/blog.proclima.com\/fr\/files\/2025\/11\/sechage-384x275.png 384w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1020px) 100vw, 1020px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">visuel pro clima<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Pour favoriser le s\u00e9chage, la valeur Sd standard du rev\u00eatement c\u00f4t\u00e9 int\u00e9rieur est limit\u00e9e \u00e0 0,5 m. Dans la plupart des cas, moins il y a de r\u00e9sistance, plus le potentiel de s\u00e9chage est important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La gestion active de l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans la grande majorit\u00e9 des textes normatifs en vigueur en France, les membranes Sd18m et Sd90m sont recommand\u00e9es au sein des diff\u00e9rentes configurations de paroi. En p\u00e9riode hivernale, la membrane frein-vapeur hygrovariable INTELLO permet de remplir le m\u00eame objectif que ces membranes, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire retenir l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9 au sein de l&rsquo;habitation et non dans la paroi. De petites quantit\u00e9s d&rsquo;humidit\u00e9 p\u00e9n\u00e8trent au sein de la paroi par divers points singuliers et par les membranes en elles-m\u00eames qui laissent passer moins de 1g\/m\u00b2\/jour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En p\u00e9riode estivale, lorsque le flux de vapeur s&rsquo;inverse et revient vers l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur, les membranes Sd18m et Sd90m retienne l&rsquo;humidit\u00e9 au sein de la paroi. Or, au fur et \u00e0 mesure des ann\u00e9es, le taux d&rsquo;humidit\u00e9 au sein de la paroi augmente.
